Updated & Improved Artwork Guidelines

We’ve prepared this guide to help you set up and submit your electronic artwork correctly.
If you encounter an issue that is not covered, or if you have any questions, please contact our graphics team.
Improperly prepared files may cause production delays.

Quick Checklist

✔ All fonts are embedded or outlined
✔ Text is legible and crisp
✔ Page layout is correct
✔ Margins and safe areas are set
✔ Artwork matches the final size and proportions
✔ Linked images/files are properly placed
✔ Colors are set to CMYK (not RGB)

Bleeds

To avoid unwanted white edges:

• Add a 0.125" (1/8") bleed on all sides of any artwork that extends to the edge.

• Keep all text and important elements at least 0.25" (1/4") away from the final trim line to avoid accidental cutting.

Color Specifications

Please note that on-screen previews are not reliable for color accuracy due to differences in monitor calibration, brightness, and ambient light.

• Pantone colors may shift when converted to CMYK.

• For spot-color jobs, ensure colors are correctly defined as Pantone Spot Colors and that they separate properly.

• For full-color printing, make sure all artwork is converted to CMYK for accurate output and consistent print quality.

Image Resolution

To ensure high-quality reproduction:

• Images and photos: 300 dpi at final size

• Rasterized text or logos: 1200 dpi

• Screen values (halftones): 133–150 lpi

Application Guidelines

Adobe Photoshop

• Set files to 300 dpi at 100% of the final print size.

• Save your final artwork as a PDF with:

  • Fonts embedded

  • CMYK colors

  • Recommended screen value: 133 lpi

Digital Proofs

We provide PDF soft proofs to confirm layout and design placement.
Please note:

• PDF proofs are not color-accurate and should not be used for precise color matching.

• If exact color accuracy is required, request a hard-copy proof.

• Scan transparencies or line art at 100% of the final size.

  • If file size becomes too large, scan at 50% or 25% of the final size.
